First by Madeline is an eco-friendly, American luxury brand of faux fur coats and accessories.

Founded in 2020 by Madeline Weeks in California, the first state to ban the sale of fur. Impeccably crafted in Los Angeles, we use thoughtfully engineered, sustainable and luxurious materials.

We are inspired by the past, yet firmly planted in the future. Our quality is superb, with hand-embroidered details that make First by Madeline unique. Our coats and accessories are elegant, glamorous, sustainable, timeless. Warm and incredibly soft. Made to be worn proudly everywhere.

First by Madeline is aligning with Humane Society International to give a percentage of our sales to protect and preserve wildlife. Wear our coats, not theirs. Currently, she divides her time between Los Angeles and New York City.

MEET MADELINE 

Madeline Weeks is a Fashion Director, Creative Director, Collaborator and Costume Designer, who is widely recognized for her editorial, cinematic, and design expertise.

A champion of American style, Weeks has collaborated with many of the world’s most famous actors, directors, photographers, athletes, musicians, and personalities to create some of the most iconic, memorable, and successful covers and images for GQ magazine, where she was the Fashion Director for over 20 years and many other brands including Vogue, Netflix, Rolex, and Adidas.

Weeks began her career as a fashion designer, working for Ralph Lauren in design and advertising and then went on to work with the designer, Zoran, where she oversaw the design, retail, production, and publicity before leaving to become Fashion Editor and then Fashion Director for American GQ.

Originally from Virginia, Weeks moved to New York to study at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she followed her love of fashion, photography, film, and design.
